Gathers, analyzes, prepares and reconciles routine data in accordance with predetermined guidelines to support the preparation of financial statements. Maintains and documents effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with accounting system requirements. Identifies accounting system issues. Supports internal and external auditors and the deployment of new accounting systems and tools. Reviews and analyzes relevant accounting source documents to ensure that posted amounts are correctly classified according to Company policy. Prepares standard internal and external financial reports based on accounting information and data according to predetermined guidelines. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets Company directives to guide and make recommendations regarding accounting policies and practices specific to the job function. Works under general supervision.
Typical Education: Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information:
Bachelor's in Accounting desired, other related business degrees will be considered. Computing skills a must, including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computing applications. Job duties include: journal preparation, account reconciliation, determination of appropriate accounting treatment, troubleshooting errors, and working with business partners and customers.
