Description/Duties :
|
Maintains and repairs electronics and electrical-mechanical equipment: communications-electronics, computer systems, sensor systems, SATCOM systems, optics, LAN and data communications, configuration and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, multiplexers, workstations and peripherals. Performs inspections of system components, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of modules and circuit cards to the component level
Candidate must have a strong background in electronics, and communications to include tactical Satellite Systems (Trojan Spirit II (V)2/3, Trojan Spirit LITE (V)1/2/3, Prophet T- LITE). Must be experienced in interpreting system drawings, electronic schematics, network drawings, engineering drawings, possesses high reliability soldering skills and is experienced in repair of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), and in the use of Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeter's, power meters and DC power supplies.
Experienced with various COMSEC equipment and configurations, communication system, data-networks to include Fiber-Optics/Networks, and VOIP.
Able to troubleshoot and isolate hardware or software configuration malfunctions in multi-vendor integrated networked systems. Experienced in performing scheduled and unscheduled Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS).
Can perform system functional analysis and failure data reporting, evaluate system performance, install approved system modifications, and recommend system architecture and technical change proposals.
Must be capable of performing analyzes of system operations and performing training. Provides repairs in a shop environment and at the customer location. Works with minimal supervision, documents maintenance tasks via local or web- based reporting system, provides system functional briefings to customer and supervisor.
