Search Yakima County & production jobs. This job will have 12-Y-18 after it.

1. Perform all mechanical assembly, functional tests, test setups, and finish operations on product line per blueprints and planning with little to no supervision.
2. Perform functional tests in such a manner to maximize quality and productivity while simultaneously working on multiple machines.
3. Determine the sequence of assembly operations in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control to optimize the process and achieve maximum productivity and quality.
4. Identify functional test applications suitable for computer automation and other opportunities for methods improvement.
5. Utilize computers, where applicable, in the actuation, data retrieval, and documentation of components and/or multiple components during functional tests. In cases where an operator (assistant) is required to carry out simultaneous testing, the Technician III shall be responsible for the performance of the operator and all work carried out.
6. Assist area supervisor/lead men in the guidance and training of assembly personnel in proper assembly and test procedures.
7. Determine cause and corrective action through failure analysis in conjunction with Design Engineering and Quality Control.
8. Maintain orderly and retrievable records of work performed and complete records of test setups, shop books, photos, and procedures.
9. Perform requirements involving straightening of T.I.R. milling, swaging, staking, drilling, install bushing and side load test per process specifications of sub assemblies.
10. Setup and conduct tests and experiments on components and complete units to evaluate design characteristics and performance of test items.
11. Working with the Tool Design and Tooling Departments, design tools for new jobs, test setups, fixtures, and assembly aides.
